Saverne, France
After Trier I cycled to Thionville, France, then the next day to Metz, where I caught a train to Saverne. There was no cycle trail between Metz and Saverne, plus there were the Vosges mountains, hence the train.
Saverne is along the Marne au Rhin canal, and I cycled the towpath to Strasbourg. But first I took a ride back eastward, up into the Vosges. The photos to the right and below were taken along this section of the canal.
The top photo was taken in the main square in Saverne.
